Hi,
Does anyone have any thoughts on a way to change the ambient light in a Dungeon area?
I want a dungeon area in my campaign that feels like a lesser castle. The castle tileset is something I'd consider using later in the castle, or further on in the campaign, so I thought about using dungeon - but not so much as a dungeon - just like the outer, lesser areas of a large castle. I understand why the dungeon theme is dark - it's buried deep in the ground -but I wanted to try and make use of some of its tileset nonetheless.
I can see that adding lanterns to walls, and adding some torches, and forcing the player to have to create their own light, are all solutions, but can anyone think of other ways?
Is it possible to duplicate/customise one of the existing skies? And is 'sky' the definitive naming convention for such light/ambience sources? I've searched for 'dungeon', 'light', 'sky' etc. to try and find more in the editor.
Any suggestions are welcome - the idea is to create a castle region that is less palatial than the Castle theme provided.
Thanks

I'd love to know this too. Been trying to figure out a way to make my dungeons even more dark.
Re: Dungeon light/brightness levels
when manual is released I think it will be not so problematic to define your own "sky" object to fit your requirenment.
Re: Dungeon light/brightness levels
You've probably noticed this already, but try having a play around with the components of the sky you choose for your scene - you can toggle things like 'ambient' and 'light', which will give you different results. There'll be a correct way to use these, and will require more knowledge on what they do, but it might be beneficial for you in the meantime, until we get more documentation.NutJob wrote:I'd love to know this too.
