Goromorg Shield Spells

I am trying to adapt the Legend of Grimrock for pen and paper role playing (personal use), and wonder how the Goromorg shield works. Does it resist a certain amount of damage or a number of the hits (i.e. X damage points or X hits)? Thanks in advance for any help.

If I recall correctly, it resisted a certain amount of damage.
And Grimrock for pen and paper? That's awesome!

Ah right. I checked from the code and it seems to be 300 points.

Is that for all levels or just level 1?
