my take: some catalyst setting interferes, maybe some AMD-specific anti-aliase mode

I remember something similar happening to another person, that Grimrock was accidentally running on their on-board graphics or something, even though they had a better one, or maybe it was the laptop automatically scaled down the graphics due to not detecting the game right, or something like that, very similar issue as I recall

That looks like proper Rendering Quality "Low" to me.

@Komag: wouldn't LoG look a lot better, even when run with a CPU-build-in Intel HD Graphics 3000?

well I would think so, but I just can't quite remember the details of what the problem was, like it just automatically filtered down the textures or something, bah I can't remember
