Grimrock

So I click on "Dungeon Editor" and it takes me out of full screen and into the editor, only there's no top bar. You know, where it says "File" and "Help." So I can't make a new dungeon. Also, typing in a text box in-game does not work. Does anyone know how to fix this, or at least a work-around I could use?

I'm using Ubuntu 12.10
Installed the game via Terminal
Playing the latest Legend of Grimrock (I think 1.1.4)
