Post by Leki »

Hi guys.
If you wish - you can download and extract into your Dungeon folder my "Tombs of Winterfell", examine it, play with in editor or use some ideas for your mods.

What have you done with it? anything you're particularly proud of?

People loved it and asked how I did this or that. Not everyone is good at English to read this forum, but they love the game etc.
At first I tried to describe it, but the easiest way is to publish the source material.
Otherwise, there are custom items, game architecture and wallsets, custom monsters and much more.
Furthermore, it is the first mode, which was for Grimrock, aside Rooten This Place.
You should try it :-)

Oh! It's a source! I hadn't clicked the topic because I've already played the game, but I can not get enough of source files.
Thank you for uploading this.
I encourage all authors to do this once their levels are finished. -or if you don't want anyone to cheat, release it after two weeks or something-

EDIT: Oh hey! Nice touch with the floating daemon head!
Looks nice, but you can walk through that. You can fix that by defining it as a "Blockage" rather than a "Decoration"

Sure. But original idea was to create an "illusion". It's part of illusion master tomb (like master hammer or illusionary wals). Levitating daemon head as obstacle was found on forum few days after mod publishing. Btw flaming head sceletons mod are the same issue. But in ToW they are using fireball. Its better choice than torch particle. I did some experiments with ogre as well - dark texture and combination of greater fireball and torch = balrog like monster... but you cannot find this monster here atm.

Edit: btw you cand find there simple test (in the head room) with dynamic change of walls. I used spawner to create block behind the new walls. Nowdays i have (new models) dynamic blockade include statues, wals etc.

Awesome! It's always cool to see people share their source files. 8-)
