Hello everyone. I just purchased LoG yesterday and can't wait to start playing! I am having a bit of trouble with the game only showing torches, however. I have reviewed the other posts regarding this problem and it seems as though they all point to anti-aliasing being forced on and the need to turn that setting off. I am currently using the on-die GPU on an i5 3570k, Intel HD 4000, and running Ubuntu 12.04. I have tried using both Wine 1.4 and Wine 1.5.3 to see if that might make a difference but to no avail.

My question is might anti-aliasing be my problem and, if so, is there a way that I can correct this problem? I apologize if this question has been answered elsewhere but I was unable to find this specific question on these boards, over at appdb, or via a general Google search. Thanks in advance for any help that you are able to provide in this regard. For now, I am going to go watch some more videos of people playing through LoG...

Try going into intel graphics settings and see if there is an AA setting. I have intel 3000 and is not an option but may be on 4000. I'm running fine on med settings but on win7 directx 11.
Also, download the latest driver for intel 4000. Mine needed update.

Hi Brodie. Thank you very much for stopping by to reply to my question. Regarding your suggestion, I think it is a very good one... unfortunately I am not too certain where to locate the Intel HD GUI in Linux. When I was looking it up earlier, it sounds as though the Intel drivers might be in the Linux kernel itself such that I might need to update them through the terminal. Being frank, I am a linux n00b so this could be completely incorrect as well. It is a wise man that realizes how little he knows, no? Worse comes to worse, I am thinking about getting a discrete graphics card at the end of the year and it sounds as though some of them allow for playing throuh WINE. Thank you again for taking the time to reply to my question. I will keep searching that series of tubes called the Internet to see if there is a way to update my drivers. Cheers!
