How do I patch the game?

Bought from gog.com, their installer is still version 1.0.0.8

i think you need to uninstall the game first, then install it using 1.0.0.8
that's what i did, and game shows version 1.1.4 now

The installer for the launch release (1.1.3) was labelled 1.0.0.6. Having a version string for the installer being different to the version of the game is really weird and confusing.
