Resting Bug?

First of all, I want to thank all game developers for such an awesome game. Please accept my apologies if the following subject has been discussed before. I don't recommend reading this unless you had a weird resting experience.

In Level 5: Hallways, when I was fighting some of those god-like spiders, I accidentally pressed "R" instead of "E". I got into "Zzzz" state without screen fading black, and that spider which was hitting me stopped fighting. I pressed "R" again, back into combat, but spider was still asleep, standing still.
Unfortunately, I couldn't try it one more time to see if this happens every time. I had to quit the game.
