The journey: A map title for pretentious hipsters.

Post by barronvonburp »

Hello everyone:
This is my first map, and it's probably crap.
I haven't even finished it yet.
But I want some people to give me feedback on just how crap it is.
http://www.nexusmods.com/legendofgrimrock2/mods/52/?
Please submit critique, or found bugs on this forum, or on the nexus site.
(A download instructions for people who don't know how)
extract the file.
go to documents
Go to almost human
Go to legend of grimrock 2
Go to dungeons.
Paste file in there.
Or simply extract to that location.

Well that was quick lol

I'm not sure what kind of feedback you are looking for, since even in the Mod itself you are not taking anything serious. A Club Club? A Bro Sword? The attempt at unique weapons made me feel like I was basically being "punked." As in... hahah, you tricked me in to downloading this

The Feedback I gathered before I gave up:
1) The Boulder is missing it's material, so it's a shiny round untextured Model on the ground.
2) You wrote a note on a Recipe (which is for Alchemy/Crafting).
3) Your actual Note in the Chest was just you as the Mod Author making a reference to being a Mod Author.
4) The Hub was a huge room in a very unnecessary way (walking for the sake of walking)
5) In the Swarm boss battle, the health bar started off only about 10% full. And the room was so large that it took me longer to find the bosses than it did to fight them.

From the title (pretentious hipsters), to the weapons, notes, and your post on this forum... I assume you are just playing around and not really trying to build something. If I'm wrong, and you are trying to make something people can play and enjoy, then I'd recommend downloading some of the other published Mods that have received good feedback.

Why did you give up, what made you stop playing?
