What awful charms are you used to? :-)

Works like a kick in the crotch compared to chars that have more strength and/or the fitting skills. Of course it's possible - but it's no fun at all when you run out of energy. First you have to get into a clicking frenzy when you want to dodge (slide) around while trying to cast spells at the same time. If you have some wands and orbs in your hands and equipped shields then switching to throwing weapons during combat is also not easy. And then these weapons don't do al lot of damage because you lack strength and skill or you don't hit a lot because your accuracy is low.
So - compared to most (or every) other party constellation it's difficult. I will not discuss this further because in this case a have the patent on truth. ;)

And what's your problem with mages wielding staffs anyway? That's not really an extraordinary thing to think of. And if there will be staffs (who knows), then why not ask for
a) a skill
and
b) a reach-functionality?

I don't understand why you are constantly gainsaying me.
Maybe my avatar is to manly... :D

Almost forgot:

It's hard to imagine a rogue poking at something with a axe from the backrow; maybe because axes are not made for such precise thrust attacks.

So... hard to imagine but a reality in LoG1...

It would be awesome if you could post some pictures and infos about your city (and surroundings) in one of your future blog posts, if that's not an impudent thing to ask. :-)
Cool - you did that with your latest blog post! And apart from that it also came very quickly. I don't know if this was a coincidence, but who cares. Thanks a lot. :-D

Rogues and fighters can also run out of energy for their better attacks in tougher fights so i don't see your point.

Young mages rarely can come up with both a staff/orb and shield. Usually they lack such things so s/he uses one hand for casting and one hand for a spear or bombs or throwing weapons, even if it's that plain old rock. As an old DM saying goes: "Never leave home without your holy rock!" :D As a mage progresses his fallback weapon gets used fewer and fewer anyway until it ceases entirely.

Why ask me? You already answered this above: mages lack the strength and skill.

Possible: yes. Seen/used by a rogue: only when s/he lacks a dagger or hands.
