[MOD] The Tomb of Sorez

Post by Sorez »

========================================================================================================

Description from Nexus:

The legendary tomb of the warrior Sorez is said to hold great treasures. Four adventureres get ready as they go into the tomb.

Will you be able to get Sorez\'s treasure and get out alive?

-Made by Sorez (Steam)

I have used many mods like new wallsets, new enemies, and a lot of other stuff. I did NOT make any of them, and credit goes to their respectful owner.

This is also my very first dungeon, ever, so I'm sorry if it's not all that interesting.

The fights in this do get pretty hard, but it is 100% beatable.

Play Time: 1-2 Hours.

It is highly recommended to quick save and rest often.

If you find any visual errors please notify me, and if a part seems impossible, tell me which part, etc.

========================================================================================================

This is my first ever dungeon in this game, and also the first time in using NexusMods, as I usually use the Steam Workshop, sadly the file is too large to fit in there, so I put it on NexusMods.

Hopefully you guys like my first dungeon :D

finished in 1h 8 min hard option, starting party at level 10
Overall quite nice walktrough... hard option made it challenging for me. TO be honest I cant imagine to paly this dungeon with new party and fighting these creature (goromorgs, Ice lizards etc...) almost with no equipment. In case you will improve it, or going to build another dungeon here are some tips and comments what to improve eventualy. Just my oppinion.

- dungeon is heavily fight-oriented. Just few minor puzzles did not made it smart and these puzzles were like for small childrens. Players which like to fight will definitely enjoy this a lot... but for me it was quite...meh. Whole level 9 was just rooms filled with monsters...that was boring.

- I liked these new models (Sorez skeleton model perfect !) and different graphical level-layouts

- Sorez fight quite dissapointing (fighting trough level 9 was 10x harder than just beating this skeleton) - just increasing number of HP does not make boss fights harder. Try find out some smarter solution

- I had like 30 Tar beads, 20 Cave roots... but no mortar ! Perhaps I am just blind and I have overlooked it somewhere, but such a things should be guaranted to the party. Also I did not found andy bloodblossoms or milkreeds, wwhich could make this adventure quite possible for new party (thanks to making speed / energy potions)

- I liked levels layout, altough it were just maps filled with monsters, it is definitely smart designed, good job for first dungeon !

- weapons / armors distribution is not as good as it should be from my view. If you want player fight hordes of enemies, thats ok. But you need give him corresponding equipment, if you do not want make this level too hard. The best equipment was randomly placed in level 9, where you already NEED it to fight these monsters. (also whole valor/ chitin set in one room, that was really strange)

Well thats overall feeling from my walktrough. Fighting-based players will definitely enjoy this. Good job for first work !

Alrighty, let me see.

I managed to beat it on hard with a completely new party, as there is some hidden equipment, like the 3 golden keys for the rewards in the infested sewers.

There were 2 Mortars in the entire dungeon, one in the Infested Sewers, and one in the Waterless Sewers. (Which is why there's a lot of Tar beads in those two levels)

Each room in level 9 gave kind of a "reward", as the last room was more difficult then the rest, I put both there.
Level 9 was completely fighting on purpose as a kind of "test your strength" level, but I can see where it would have been difficult, although I beat it with a new party :P

I'm not good with creating puzzles D:

Any ideas how I can make the Sorez fight more difficult, but still possible to beat him?

Yeah, I just don't know how to give enough armour so some fights wont be as hard, without making them secret, as they would be easily missable.

Thanks for liking my layouts :D

Also, did you miss any iron doors?
Did you find all 9 secret rooms? (Buttons in walls)
Did you find all 3 Golden keys in the infested sewers to get ALL the rewards in that level? :)

I have just finished this mod. I quite liked it because it's very straightforward and it has no game-breaking bugs.

Yes I did find two mortars in the game and the atmosphere was okay.

Although this is not the best module I have played so far, I must say it's quite good, specially if it's the first module made by his author.

Congratulations Sorez. Keep up the good work.
