I'd rather call it archetypes, not stereotypes :-D

My rogues are even collecting the gems.
not all Rogues are thieves... I guess you can't roleplay one either. Anyways, the skulls are useful for a Minotaur with Head Hunter, getting +3 to attack for each skull, so +15 for all 5 found and carrying. But other than that, the treasure and skulls are for Achievements. When you get those 2, then you can throw the useless weight away.
I admit I'm not good in playing rogues, since I'm playing mostly clerics (unless I'm DM). Anyway, I was brought up during era where thieves were thieves - before the political correctness came and renamed them to rogues. But seriously, I know that not all rogues are thieves, that's why there's this smiley at the end of my post. Such winking Smiley indicate that poster isn't serious and is posting mostly for hilarity.

Hehe, but nothing about rogues in this game points to being a thief. He is more of a ranger/assassin than a thief. Besides, it wouldn't be fair to the other classes if the Rogue could get into areas the other classes could not. Not everyone is going to use 1 of each class. My main group is 2 fighters and 2 mages. Would be very unfair for me.

Then again, while you might come up with some background for your characters, and think of what they would be thinking while moving through the dungeon, LoG doesn't contain actual roleplaying elements. It's a dungeon crawler in it's purest essence.

IIRC you can drop a treasure the moment you found it (be sure to pick it up first, though), and it will count as a treasure. You don't need to keep it around until you've found all 7 of them.

Same for the skulls if you do not have a head hunter minotaur (Then again, the +15 AP makes it worth to bring at least one head hunter minotaur, while bringing two is practically pointless).

heh... +15 from skulls. And +20 if using an Axe with 50 Axe skill. so +35 damage!

That +20 would've applied regardless of the race.
