After viewing another thread, about how the game is considered to hard by some, and to easy by others..
Why not add the age old feature, Game speed slider? this little gagit has been around for 20-30 years.. It has been used in everything from adventure games, to RPGs, RTS, strategy, city builders, You name it..
the only thing it does is change the games clock speed to speed up or slow down. For those that have issues trying to maneuver, or like to take a slower more tactical approach can lower it.. for those that want a faster, and more seat of your pants game play can boost it.
Seeing this feature has been used in more games than i can count.. (even the classic Baldur's Gate, and dungeon keeper have this option) So how about it? It is win/win... those that want slower and easier, just slow it down, and those that want an even faster paced combat, by all means crank it up to +100% if you like..
the only issue i can see, is how it will effect performance, but slower id have to think would help any dated system, and faster, could be use it at your own risk.. (perhaps faster than normal could even be in the realm of unsupported by the devs if it had some sort of back end technical issues on computers that were not up to par.. But i hardly think a slower clock would have any adverse affects.
So how about it? after all it is a single player game, and the single player enjoyment is really what it is all about. to me this is a very simple compromise to help all those slower gamers, and give all the pro's a way to step it up a notch
I know i would definatly slow it down a click or two myself. i enjoy the game at the speed it is now, but i do find it a bit hectic often.. and honestly i like to relaxe in my game play, verse frantically hitting keys, and mouse clicks. Slower also doesn't nessesarily mean it is easer all around either. You could even add an option to bump on the combat difficulty even further, making critters do more damage, and such as you would have to be using a much more tactical gameplay just to beat was once a stand and trade blows, style, now if you don't move you are dead..
to me the big picture on a speed slider is all upside..

Re: Game speed slider
I like this idea. Whether or not it's easily doable depends on how the game works, but if it can be done then it would solve a lot of people's reaction time problems without needing to change anything else.

It would be more convenient in game but you can do it out of game with CheatEngine to pretty much any game.
