Sorry, it seems it was not a complex issue.
Some other program running in the background was pressing keys every so often (numlock) which would disturb the rest period.

Unable to successfully rest during gameplay.

So I have been attempting to rest during gameplay, but all that happens is that it shows the ZZZ, darkens screen and then leaves the resting period, not regenerating at all.
what should I do?
